Dahmen Barn

We visited the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown! The barn was built in 1935 and used to be a commercial dairy.  Now it is a 3-floor art gallery with over 100 local artists displaying their work. Some artists have studio space right in the barn! The barn is beautifully restored. Here I am with Julie who is the manager and is super nice and gorgeous!

Outside the barn is this awesome fence made of over 1000 wagon wheels!

We also went to Steptoe Butte HA HA HA! Mom says it is not pronounced butt I KNOW that but it is still funny to think about.  At the top there is a great view of the Palouse Hills and you can see some of the farms and ranches in the area. I am standing on some of the oldest rock in the Pacific Northwest!

At the bottom there is a picnic area in the middle of an apple orchard!

Also this week we met Brandon who fixed our garage door opener which was not working at all.  He was really nice and handsome but not as handsome as me.

And this is me with Terese at Blue Moon Nursery where we like to go to buy plants for the yard. She helped us pick out some ornamental grass to go in a difficult area. She knows all about plants and landscape design and was super nice and beautiful!

Feryn Conservation Area

At work mom got to drive this snazzy Camaro!  But she FORGOT to take pictures while we were driving around!  Lots of guys were giving her “the eye” which does not happen EVER in our Subaru.  We should totally get a Camaro mom!!!  And let me drive.

This weekend we went for a a hike at the Feryn Conservation area.  It is a famous spot for bird watching.  I was good and stayed on the trail. It used to be a homestead ranch and you can see an old barn in the background.

Then we went to Green Bluff for a harvest festival and we rode in a COW TRAIN!!!  We rode in the one called Cowlick!!

Mom said it was an awful and bumpy ride but it was awesome!  We went round and round the orchard and mom had a heck of a time taking pictures with all the bumps.

When we got home someone had left us a big bag of apples on our doorstep!

Spokane County Interstate Fair !!!

We went to the fair this weekend yayyyyyy!  I was so excited it was awesome!  Here I am at the petting zoo we got to feed the goats and sheep!

We watched the pig races they are famous racing pigs from Alaska and have an air conditioned trailer! You can see two pigs to the right of me just passing the finish line.

We got to see the cars that are in the demolition derby!  On some of them you can write your name!  I left my name next to Ted Nugent’s.

Look at all the amazing prize-winning vegetables on display.

We met ADE selling beautiful things from Africa!  He was super handsome and nice.

We made a painting!!!!  You squirt on the colors that you want and then the nice ladies that run the booth turn on the machine that spins around and the paint moves!

Here is my finished painting!!!!  It is in TIGER colors! of course!  It turned out great!!  I think it is the best $3 mom ever spent.

And here is the carved wooden animal we bought from ADE.  Mom says Tigers do not live in Africa so maybe it is a lion. But I think it is a TIGER!  Rowrrrr!

Also this weekend me and mom went for a hike at Antoine Peak Conversation Conservation Area!  The photos from the top don’t look like much you can’t see the view at all because the air here is so smoky from wildfires in Canada.

We met Doug and his dog Zoe on the hike!  Doug was really nice and very handsome and Zoe was very good she did not grab me and chew on me like most dogs do.

Here is the view from the top of Mt. Spokane.  On a clear day you can see Montana and Canada!  Today was hazy and I’m not sure how to tell where Canada is.

When we ate lunch we were mobbed by chipmunks! This one even climbed on my head!  I think people have been feeding them.

We met Rudy and his dog Indiana on the trail.  Indiana was super friendly and Rudy was really nice and handsome but not as handsome as me. Indiana is named after Indiana Jones because they love adventures just like me!

Centennial Trail with Friends

This weekend we went for a walk along part of the Centennial Trail with some friends from work!  This is an action shot while we were walking!  In the center facing the camera is Jose who organized the walk.  The trail goes along the Spokane River!

Me and mom took a side trail to see the river it was a beautiful day!  Also we saw two snakes while walking!  They were both bull snakes and one was about three feet long!  I was not scared I am a Tiger. There are also rattlesnakes here so be careful!

When we got home we filled out a form for the world wildlife fund where we got to vote for the animal to be on the front of the next calendar.  We voted for the TIGER of course!  All the pictures were good and the penguins were really cute I like penguins.

Also mom got me a surprise!!!  It is a bow tie !! And it is red my favorite color!
