Sherman Pass Hike!! And refrigerator woes

On Saturday we did errands and when we got back from the grocery store I noticed that the freezer was not very cold. Mom looked at it and the fridge was not cold either. The compressor had conked out! A domestic disaster! So we went back to the store and bought ice, got out the ice chests, and put all the fridge and freezer stuff on ice. Then we went the appliance store to buy a new refrigerator!  Here I am with Zach who sold us this great fridge!  Zach was super helpful and is very handsome. Mom says fridges cost more than they used too but the one I picked out was on sale.

The on Sunday we went hiking with our friend Ed! Here I am riding in Ed’s pack!

There is still wildfire smoke but it is getting better. It was a beautiful sunny day!

Here is a picture of me with Ed taking a picture. Mom says that sometimes people like to take pictures without Tigers in the photo. Very puzzling.

We hiked a long way and finally got to Snow Peak Cabin! It is a totally awesome and cute cabin! You can barely see me in the photo I am on the bench next to the door.

This is inside the cabin it is stocked with dishes and mugs and a first aid kit and a dish towel and a coffee pot and a cookstove and cots to sleep on. People (and Tigers) can rent the cabin and stay overnight even in the winter!

Here I am with Ed who is super handsome and really nice we are making sure everyone reads the sign which says No Peeing Off The Porch!  ha ha ha!

The hike started at Sherman Pass which is the highest pass in WA state.

Afterwards we went to the town of Republic and went to Republic Brewing where they make their own BEER!  Me and mom had ROOT BEER it was awesome!

On the way home we noticed that the town’s school team name is the TIGERS! It was a super fun day and I’m glad it is a long weekend so I can rest up.

Silverwood and Slumber Party!!!

OMG we had the BEST weekend!!!  First, at work on Friday it was Hawaiian shirt day and I wore my Hawaiian print bandana and mom told me to wear an extra bandana I did not know why.  When we got to work Uncle David had brought his Tiger to work too!  This is me with Tigey!!  I gave Tigey one of my bandanas!!!

At the end of the day I got to go to Uncle David’s house!  Me and Tigey had a great time playing in the yard and climbing in trees!  We are TIGERs we LOVE the outdoors!

Here we are with Lorelei, David and Lacey’s beautiful baby girl!

OMG we had pizza for dinner!   Yayyyyyy!

Here is a picture of Tigey and me reading books!

The next day OMG !!!  we went to Silverwood Theme Park!!!! Here I am with a ticket seller. She was super nice and really beautiful !  I can’t believe we are here!!!

There were all kinds of super rides to go on!!!!  Me and Tigey are studying the map!

OMG!!!  Rollercoasters!  Airplanes !  Look at all these awesome rides!

We ran into our friends Warren, Jaime, and Mack who had BEER!!!  They are all so handsome and smart and had BEER!!!

Here we area at lunch with Erica and Sarah (they are twins!) and Stacey and Austin and his wife! All the women are so gorgeous and Austin is very handsome.

We rode a TRAIN!!!!!  OMG !!!!!!  I LOVE TRAINS!!!

This is a picture of me and Tigey with Auntie Lacey and Uncle David.  Lacey is super beautiful and nice and really funny. Uncle David is really handsome and funny too!

Here we are having a slumber party!  We stayed up late sharing TIGER stories!

It was an awesome epic weekend and I would have been happy staying at David and Lacey’s house longer and eating more PIZZA but on Sunday mom came to pick me up.  We invited Tigey to go hiking with us!  Here we are hiking along the Spokane River!

This is another picture from the hike up above Deep Creek Canyon. We hiked up and down and up and down it was fun but not as fun as riding trains and eating pizza.

Wildfire Smoke!

There is terrible awful smoke from wildfires and the air quality here is worse than in Beijing!  I have never been to Beijing but would like to go hint hint mom this is supposed to be a blog about my TRAVELS. The smoke has been bad for weeks so we do not go hiking and have to do indoor things which I am not so good at.  Here are two pictures from our deck that show how smoky it is.  The second picture from the winter is on a cloudy day but you can still see across the valley!

Last week at work it was purple shirt day but mom FORGOT to get me a purple bandana!!!  Here I am with Mack who has a purple shirt on and is very handsome.

This is me with Warren who is also very handsome and super nice and smart!

And here I am with Jaime who has a great smile and is so handsome too.

Also!  Last week Marc was at work to help with some projects! Here I am in the conference room with Marc (who did not have a purple shirt because mom FORGOT to tell him!) and David. They are both super smart and handsome. The best part of having Marc visit is that we get lunch from restaurants and lots of snacks!!!

Stripes!

At work mom has made a calendar for color coordinated Friday attire for the third floor.  Last week everyone wore STRIPES !!  It was great do stripes remind you of anyone?? Here are some of the people who wore stripes! Jamie is soooo handsome!

Here I am with Jim who is super handsome and really nice.

And this is me with David who is also super handsome and nice and we share an office with him and have lots of fun. Great job everyone with your stripes!

Also at work there is a school supply drive going on so when we did errands this weekend we picked up some stuff including these super cute backpacks!!!

Lee & Roger – We Will Miss You!

Our most awesome neighbors Lee and Roger are moving away it is TERRIBLE for us but they have bought a house in Arizona where it is warmer in the winter. They have been super great neighbors Lee is a fantastic cook and was always bringing over scrumptious snacks like homemade PIE !  Tigers love snacks especially pie. And Roger would snow-blow our driveway and sidewalks after every snowstorm, bring in our garbage cans, and several times a year did the edge trimming along our walkways. Lee is so beautiful and Roger is super handsome and they are both so talented.  Roger plays the saxaphone!  We will miss you a whole lot!  especially the snacks.

This weekend we have been experimenting with more silk dyeing.  The one on the left was dyed with maple leaves and rose petals and the one on the right we used onion skins, monarda petals, and little bits of strawberry and blueberry skins.

At work mom had a big meeting with a bunch of Engineers and brought Special snacks like Famous Amos cookies!  She wore her Grumpy Cat button and where it says NO she covered it with a small piece of Post-It that said YES for the meeting so that people would agree with whatever the meeting was about. haha that was funny!

I don’t know what the meeting was about because mom FORGOT me!!  and left me in her office while everyone had Famous Amos cookies!  except me because I was not there! Luckily she left her computer on so I was able to order some things from the Grumpy Cat website. It will be a fun surprise for mom when it arrives!

Tailgate Party! Whoo Hoo!

At work we had a Tailgate Party!! Everyone was invited, even if you did not have a tail. It means the tailgate of a truck!  ha ha ha!  Here is a view from above where you can see the trucks parked. There is a long line for the beer!  Mom did not get very many photos because she had to make announcements at different times and also had to referee the water balloon toss!  It was awesome fun!

Here are Scott and Erica handing out beverages.  I wanted a beer but mom said NO.

There was also a nacho bar with cheese!  Tigers LOVE cheese! And nachos!

Also last week it was very hot, Here I am in the car as we were leaving work one day and it was 102 degrees. Luckily I have my Tiger Summer Coat.

We Made Stuff!

We have been super busy this weekend!  First we stopped by the soap shop and got supplies.  Here I am with Karen who is super beautiful and fun!

At work our friend Jerry asked if we ever made Mango-smelling soap because his wife likes that. so we decided to give it a try!  It turned out great!  Look at these awesome colors!  Do they remind you of anyone? TIGERS are orange too!

Then the next day we went to a class on how to use plant materials to dye fabric!  We  used silk to make scarves.  Here we are deciding which plants to use and where to put them on the fabric. The one me and mom made is on the right in the photo.

Here it is after it was all done!  Our scarf is the front left one that I am right in front of. It’s amazing how the different plants dye the fabric different colors. Totally cool !!

Dental Visit

Last week mom had to have her teeth cleaned and afterwards I got to sit in the chair and cuddle with Diana who is totally gorgeous and super nice and does a great job!!! She let me wear a mask that I got to keep!  I LOVE Diana!

Then this weekend while we were at the library we saw this cool car outside!  We should get a car like this it would be fun to drive. It had no doors!  Yeehaw!

We were looking for something in a closet and LOOK WHAT I FOUND! It is a TIGER painting that mom had as a kid and we still have it but she FORGOT about it!  OMG!  It is so awesome and MAGNIFICINT Supreem Handsome !! Look at the size of his paws!

Mt. Spokane Hike

We went hiking at Mt. Spokane!  Here I am at the TOP of the mountain!  outside Vista House which is built with the rocks from the top of the mountain.

At lunch a chipmunk came to visit us!  I think this is the same spot where we were overrun by chipmunks last time we were here.

Here is the view we had while we ate lunch and fought off hungry chipmunks.

There were lots and lots of wildflowers and butterflies on the trail!

After the hike we went to pick cherries!  Yum!  Tigers LOVE cherries!

My Own Poem !!!! OMG !!!

Today we went to the Terrain Bazaar Art Festival in downtown Spokane!

At the Bazaar we met Devin and Tiffany!  The most amazing thing happened ! Here I am with Devin who writes poems and she wrote a poem all about ME!!!!

Here she is writing the poem. I am so excited!!! Devin is a great poet and gorgeous too.

Then Tiffany painted the poem!  Tiffany said she was happy to use Tiger colors in the painting! She was so nice and is super beautiful.

Here I am at home with the poem so you can see it and read it!!!  It is so amazing!  Devin met me for the first time today but she totally described me in the poem.  My very own poem!!! It is all about me it was an awesome day!
