Hail & Snow!

Well!  It has been quite a week. One day it hailed like crazy!

Then it snowed and a large animal has left tracks in our yard!

I think it was the moose that likes to visit in the winter and eat our shrubs and trees. Here is where she must have laid down to rest and all the snow melted from under her!

There are all kinds of animal tracks! Today we saw two Peregrine Falcons in our tree maybe some of these bird tracks are from them!  I bet a wild TIGER was here too!

Also last week we met Sue and Rich at the collision center where they are going to fix the front end of the car from when mom ran into the stop sign. They were both super nice and helpful and Sue is gorgeous and Rich is very handsome.

It was Christmas last week too and Auntie Darcy sent us a big box fill of awesome goodies including macadamia nut cookies from Hawaii and Nicolyn sent a chocolate bar from the famous Harrod’s store in Europe which she visited recently. Plus lots of other good stuff like a cat bag clip that meows. Thanks you guys! Merry Christmas!

Snowstorm!!!

Last week it snowed a lot one day! We had to get up early and shovel snow !

Then on the way to work the roads were a big mess and a few blocks from work the brakes locked up and the car slid in the snow and OMG this is so FUNNY mom ran the car into a stop sign HA HA HA HA HA! Mom says it is not funny it is embarrassing the stop sign fell down and we had to call the Roads Department and confess that we knocked down the sign. Now mom has to deal with the insurance company and get the car fixed and she was all stressed out the day it happened and did not get any pictures of the knocked down sign which would have been awesome. I was in the car when it happened and it was hilarious but I’m glad no one got hurt and the sign is okay. The wonderful Roads Department got it put back up the same day. Only the car got hurt.

It’s SNOWING !!!!

SNOW !!!  It snowed one day last week A LOT we spent quite a bit of time shoveling snow before work and mom FORGOT to get any pictures until we were on our way to work with all the cars lined up to get on the highway it was slippery.

At work there was a holiday party it was great!  There was yummy food and BEER!

Elvis was at the party!!!  OMG !!!! Our friend Doug at work also has a business as an Elvis impersonator!  He  has a great voice and costumes and it was awesome!

He I am with Elvis (Doug)! he gave away a few special Elvis scarves and mom got one! I was hoping to get to wear it but it is too big for me so mom is going to use it.

On the weekend we went to the mall and I said we should pick someone to help from the Holiday Giving Tree. We picked someone who wanted a girls watch. There were a few like that so we bought several girls watches! We had fun picking out the best watches to get one has a CAT on it we could not find any with TIGERS.

Then today it snowed some more!  Yayy!! Here is the front yard.

Turnbull Wildlife Refuge Hike!

We went hiking at Turnbull !! It has been very rainy and gloomy for days and finally today it stopped raining!  For lunch mom brought a peanut butter sandwich as usual. I am a TIGER I am a carnivore! Mom said fine why don’t you go hunting you might be able to catch a field mouse. That is NOT at ALL what I meant. What I MEANT was it would be nice if when we go hiking mom would pack me a roast beef sandwich.

At work we had a holiday potluck for everyone on the third floor! It was awesome and people brought things Tigers love like Little Smokies in BBQ sauce and pecan pie.

When we were doing errands this weekend we ran into our friend Laurie and her sister Joyce at the library!  They are both gorgeous and super nice.

OMG!!  We have a new foster cat !!  Her name is Alfredo. We did not name her. She is a senior kitty who needed a retirement home and she is super sweet!  I’m sorry to have to report that Leo our longtime senior hospice kitty is gone; he crossed the rainbow bridge to Kitty Heaven a few weeks ago and we are sad and miss him a lot.

A Great Thanksgiving Weekend!

We’ve had the best long weekend! It started on Wednesday when we went to the dentist so mom could have her teeth cleaned. Here I am with Maryna and Victoria who are both so beautiful va va voom! and also super nice and helpful.

Then on Thanksgiving morning bright and early we did the Manito Park Turkey Trot! Here I am with a few thousand of my friends. and aqwaitan  akwaintences.

Here we are having dinner, it is Gary, ME, Tyler,Linda and Joni.

Then the next day we went hiking someplace new Kamiak Butte Park.It is named in honor of Chief Kamiak on the Yakima Indian Tribe. It is a beautiful park with lots of forest, good trails, and wonderful  views of the Palouse. We had a great time!

On Saturday we went back to Joni and Gary’s house for another party!!! There was a lot of yummy snacks and a football game for those who wanted to watch, and if you didn’t you could paint with Joni!  That’s what we did! This is me with Patsy, Betsy, and Kitty making paintings. Mom made a painting of Kosha flying through the starry night sky wearing a red cape like SuperCat, It was all super duper fun!

Art Festival!

It has been very cold and very foggy in the mornings. There is so much fog that the moisture freezes on all the plants and makes interesting designs like this shrub.

We went to an Arts Festival and went SHOPPING!  Mom does not normally like to shop I do not know why. We even went to Fred Meyer and stocked up on things like cereal and kitty litter and mom says this way we won’t have to go there again until January. Anyway at the arts festival we bought a cool hat from Leslie who makes hats from reclaimed fabric we have other hats that she has made they are great! Sweater Heads is the name of her business. Leslie is really nice and super beautiful and fun.

Here I am with Chrissy and John who sell wonderful catnip pillows in fun fabric that our cats go bonkers for. They are really nice and love Tigers and Chrissy is gorgeous and John is very handsome but not quite as handsome as me.

Mom also bought a fun hat from Juaquetta who spins her own yard, dyes it herself and then knits amazing hats and scarves and sweaters. She was really nice and beautiful and told us that she made the hat while in Glacier Park on a rainy day.

Also I want to give a shout out to Bill from Falco who came and did some maintenance on our furnace and our fireplace which are working great now. He was really knowledgeable and very handsome and answered all mom’s silly questions.

A Hike at Q’emiln!

We went for a hike somewhere new! We drove over the state line to Post Falls in Idaho (Famous Potatoes) and went to Q’emiln Park. Q’emiln is a native word that means throat of the river and is pronounced Ka-Mee-Lin. It was beautiful there!

There were cliffs for rock climbing and a big park to run around in and a boat ramp to the Spokane River and dog walkers and lots and lots of trails for us to explore.

There is a dam there used for hydroelectic power! The water level is so low right now that all the water is on the other side of the dam and none is on this side! No power being generated until spring probably. It was a great day!

Folk Festival!

We had so much fun this weekend!  We went to the Fall Folk Festival it was great!  There were so many great bands playing and there were musicians set up in auditoriums and hallways and under stairs and it was packed with people!

Here we are listening to Musha Marimba, music from Zimbabwe. The musicians are high school students they were amazing and had so much energy it was awesome!

Also this weekend mom needed some kind of hand cream for the winter so we went to the Body Shop and they said hey it’s the Tiger lady and everyone wanted their picture with me! mom FORGOT to get all their names but they were all really nice and very gorgeous!   I am a Tiger I do not need hand lotion but mom has delicate paws.

New Glasses and Shoes !

Oh Boy! We picked up mom’s new glasses from Lenscrafters and got to meet Allison who got the glasses fitted just right and was super nice and beauuutiful!

While we were at the mall we went Shoe Shopping!  Mom got some new shoes for work and this is me with LaRae who who was really helpful and gorgeous! I am a Tiger I do not wear shoes but I understand about tender footed humans and socks and such.

Also this weekend is the end of Daylight Saving Time for this year. I am a TIGER!  I do not live by the clock!  My wild relatives live in and rule the jungle, the savannah, the grasslands, and even rain forests. I do not worry about the time.  but I DO like to know when mom will be getting up to serve breakfast!

Eye Exam and Beer Bread !!!

Friday at work was awesome!! Mack brought in a whole bunch of loaves of bread that he made, all different kinds of BEER bread!  I did not know what beer bread was but it has BEER in it !!   I learned that instead of water and yeast you use BEER to make the bread rise.  Mack labeled all the breads and we got to try them all and vote for our favorite!  They were all delicious but we picked our fav. Mack is so smart and so funny he is an Engineer and very handsome and a really good ping pong player too.

This weekend mom went to get an eye exam at Lenscrafters. Here I am with Dr. Darnell she is a great doctor and very beautiful also she has a great sense of humor!  She showed mom photos of the inside of her eyes it was really interesting and informative.

This is me with Shania and Brianna they also work at Lenscrafters. Shania takes care of setting up appointments and checking people in and Brianna does a bunch of the eye tests and gets them ready for the doctor. They are both super nice and super gorgeous.

Then Lauren helped mom pick out new frames for her new glasses. She was very patient while mom decided which glasses to get. Lauren was super helpful and is really nice and beautiful. I can hardly wait to go back and pick up the new glasses!

This morning it was really cold and there was frost on the windows.

OMG we carved a pumpkin for Halloween! We have not done this for years because the last time we did it we had bought a pumpkin carving kit and the little carving tools made mom very growly. This time she just used a sharp kitchen knife and it was easy!
