4th of July Weekend!

Mom thought our foster cat Dexter might like a paper bag. Here it is after 2 days.

At work someone brought mom flowers because she brings handmade soap with pumice in it for the weld shop and they like it much better than store-bought soap.

For our weekend bike ride we went past the Slavin Conservation area. It is so beautiful! We have hiked there before but this is a different part of the park.

We rode past another Little Library!!!  I love these!

Here is a wheat field that goes on and on as far as the eye can see!

This is my weekly horse picture. We also saw cows and goats and a PIG!

A New Foster Cat!

Dexter is our new foster cat!  He is getting meds and we have to monitor his respiration, the vet thinks he has asthma!  He is very handsome and sweet. He is missing most of one ear!  but he does not seem to mind at all.

At work David brought fresh cherries from trees in his yard Tigers LOVE cherries!

The library is open for curbside pickups YAYYYYYY!  This makes mom very happy which is a good thing for the rest of us. Select a date and time for pickup and the library assigns you a parking space, then they bring what you borrowed to your car!!

Here are some pictures from our weekend bike ride. There was a railroad crossing out in the middle of the country on a gravel road!  I suggested we wait for a train to go by which would have made a great photo but mom said No.

Look at these awesome rolls of  hay!

Here is my weekly horse photo. These two are good friends.

First Day of Summer!

Saturday was the first day of Summer!  It rained. But we had fun anyway we went to the garage sale our awesome neighbors John and Jamie were having. Jamie is super nice and so beautiful !!  and John is handsome but not quite as handsome as me. They have the best dog!  His name is Odie and he is so friendly and leans against you.

Our other wonderful neighbors Ronna and Cathy also had a garage sale they are moving oh NO!  We will miss them a lot they are wonderful people. Ronna is so gorgeous and super duper nice and knows almost everyone in the neighborhood. She is showing me a holiday tree that she thought we should buy but mom said No. Instead she bought some wineglasses but she doesn’t even let me drink wine.

On our bicycle ride this weekend we rode through the town of Marshall which has about 20 houses – a very small town!  But they have a post office it is so cute!

Later we rode through an area called the Valley Of The Horses!!!!  We saw lots of horses and cows too. Mom said we have enough horse pictures but I talked her into taking more. If this was my horse I would name it Socks!

It was a great ride through beautiful countryside and farms.

Back to the Office and More!

Mom has been back in the office instead of working from home. It’s great! She has her own office now with windows and a great big desk for all her computers. We miss seeing Chad and David all the time but we can’t be in the IT office together for a while.

I was so happy to see my work friends!  Here I am with Jenifer who is so beautiful and very funny and has lots of funny stories to tell. We love Jenifer – she does payroll!

This weekend on our long bike ride we passed lots of fields of horses. Mom said we have enough pictures of horses already but I said please please please !

Then OMG it was so amazing we rode around in an area we had not been to before and there was a Little Free Library!  It was a good one with lots of books for both kids and adults and Tigers and also a notebook where you can leave comments! There was also a bench to sit on and read!  We ate our lunch there. It was wonderful!

Also this weekend mom donated blood. I am a TIGER I was not scared. I was there to help mom be brave. Here I am with Emily who is gorgeous and really nice.

After that we went to a Black Lives Matter rally. It was amazing!  There were thousands of people there and terrific speakers. It was especially impressive because they kept the location secret until the day of the rally to keep everyone safe. It was not possible to get a picture to show the size of the crowd; there were hundreds or thousands or people behind us and to the sides. It was a peaceful protest.

Special Portraits!

Mom ordered a special portrait of our cat Kosha. You send in a photo and pick out the design you want and Crown & Paw sends back an awesome portrait that looks like a painting! Here is a picture of Kosha with his portrait!  I told mom we should get one for all the cats and she said that would cost a lot and I said well what about just for me?

Mom said Hmmm. She said let’s look and see if there are any designs you like. OMG they are all so cool!  I could not decide! and then mom said it takes weeks and weeks to get the portrait back!!  Then mom said as an IT professional she could make me a portrait the same day but the quality might not be so good and I said YES!

Here it is OMG it is so awesome!!!  Ha ha ha! I love it! Mom is the BEST.

Memorial Day Weekend!

Holiday weekends are the best! We went on a long bike ride past neighborhood farms then onto the Cheney-Spokane road. We passed Bradleys Metal Works which looks like a really fun place! There have cool sculptures in the yard!

Then we hooked up with the Fish Lake Trail (that’s a pun!) and then the Columbia Plateau Trail and found there is a wetlands park there!

And finally we made our way into the town of Cheney where Eastern Washington University is. We rode around and looked at the beautiful campus.

On the way home we took Anderson Road which we knew was partly gravel but OMG it was miles of twisty road with lots of up and down and luckily there was hardly any cars because mom was all over the road!  Ha ha ha! Everyone was friendly and waved at us they must not see many bicycles. Mom did good and did not crash the bike.

Then the next day we went back to the Wetlands Park in Cheney and hiked. There were miles of trails and hardly anyone there! There were all kinds of waterfowl and other birds like woodpeckers. I think we saw a Cinnamon Teal, a Hooded Merganser, and a Yellow Headed Blackbird. Here are some photos of the trail and wildflowers.

Also we saw some SNAKES!!  including this gigantic one!!  I am a Tiger I was not scared but mom kept her distance. We think it was a Gopher Snake.

A Chicken!!!

On our weekly bike ride we went somewhere new and we passed Grimmett’s Short Haul railroad OMG we did not even know this existed!  The tracks go around their house and yard. Oh I hope that they let Tigers ride the train when it runs!

Later we passed some property where this sign was on the fence. Most people have Welcome signs but pirates must live here! Maybe they have a pirate ship to play on.

On our way home we stopped for a break at a plant nursery and they had a really cool chicken. We went back today and bought it!!!!  It is bigger than me!

Cows!

When we went for a long bike ride this weekend we passed a lot of cows. Some of the cows were sticking their heads through the fence to eat the grass on the other side!! Ha ha that was funny!! but when we got out the camera they stopped doing that.

Also we passed this really cool fence!

Here is a picture of two kinds of soap mom made recently. Mom read a book about color techniques and on the left are some nice color swirls. Then she tried something more ambitious that turned out pretty ugly on the right. When we saw it mom said that we have not sent soap to Auntie Darcy lately. ha ha!

HORSES!!!!

We went for another bike ride Yayyy!  There are a whole bunch of small farms and ranches near where we live and beautiful country to ride through.

We saw lots of HORSES!  OMG they are so pretty!  I was good and did not scare them I would never do that horses are too majestic. There are two horses in this picture the white one was feeling shy and is behind some trees near my right ear.

In our neighborhood someone has been painting rocks and leaving them along pathways. Other people move them around so if you see one and want a picture you have to take it then because next day the rock may be somewhere else.

We discovered a Little Free Library that we can walk to! We donated a book and took one that looked good. Mom ran out of library books weeks ago so we are very happy to have found this wonderfully cool local free library with a good selection of books.

A Bike Ride!

We  have not been on a bike ride in a long time!  Mom got the bike tuned up and got all the bike gear out. FINALLY we were ready to go!  We rode around the neighborhood and also up the big hill near our house. Boy mom is out of shape!

On Friday there was another neighborhood party!  Ronna texted Joni to spread the word and then Ronna decided Joni’s driveway was bigger and flatter and set up the party there!  Ha ha that was funny!  Lots of people stopped by. It was great!

Here is the special cocktail Joni and Gary were serving. No one wanted any.
