One morning we woke up to SNOW! Yayyyy! Tigers LOVE snow! Mom was not so excited. So many people have contributed to our LFL! It is STUFFED with books!Someone made these super cute bookmarks! I did not see one of a Tiger but there is a cat! Here are the adorable foster kittens we have! Conor and Curtis. They are super sweet brothers. Conor loves to sit in laps and purr and Curtis loves to play with toys.We are also fostering a beautiful adult cat named Phoebe. She does not like to be touched or petted so we are working on her socialization skills!
We were very busy yesterday! First we cut down this spruce tree. It was SAD! I know! It is a beautiful tree! But it was going to get 2 or 3 times as large and it is not in a good place next to the sidewalk. We left part of the trunk and mom spent a lot of time making it level. We’ve been working on setting up a Little Free Library and we mounted a platform on the tree trunk and then secured the LFL to it. This is where the careful leveling paid off! Our awesome neighbor Margo came over to help and she also brought some children’s books for the library! Then today her husband Steve came over with his power tools and strong hands and put in longer screws and also countersunk them so it looks nicer and is super sturdy. We have the best neighbors!!!If it is true that every tree ring equals a year then this tree was about 13 years old. We will miss the tree but we are honoring its memory by using it for the Library.
OMG we went to the Spokane Civic Theater to see The Wizard of Oz !!!!This is inside the theater you should not take pictures during the show but this is before it started. We went with our good Friends Joni and Gary! Joni is gorgeous as usual and Gary is very handsome.OMG !!! After the show you can meet the actors and here I am with the Wicked Witch (who also plays Almira Gulch) and Auntie Em (who also plays Glinda the Good Witch). Auntie Em is mom’s friend Lacey!!! OMG!!! They were both amazing in the show!! Lacey can act and can SING! and she has won awards!! Lacey is super beautiful and also one of the nicest people ever. The wicked witch was amazing and is actually really nice and is… um… really beautiful in her own way. (Under the makeup I am sure she is gorgeous!)Afterwards we went out to dinner and had a great view of the Spokane River. It was a wonderful day!
We went hiking at the Turnbull Wildlife Refuge we have not been there in months! It was smoky from all the wildfires in the area.It was a also very dry. The grassy areas were all very brown. We went to NW Seed and Pet to get some things and we were looking at cat trees and there was a cat in one of them!! I did not know they had a store cat! Speaking of cats we have a new batch of kittens that we are fostering. This is a lively bunch!
It has finally cooled off and it is nice to go outside so we have been doing lots of walks through the neighborhood and admiring gardens. This dahlia flower is bigger than my head!!!One day we went an arts festival and there was not much art, but there was this great band!We have been spending lots of time taking care of foster kitties and having potential adopters over to the house to meet kitties. I thought that mom kept FORGETTING to get photos with the people interested in our foster cats but she said no, she did not want them to think we are weird and maybe have second thoughts about adopting. Ha ha ha! I’m sure everyone already knows that mom is weird. Here is Denali a Tuxedo with a white tip on his tail! He is still looking for someone to adopt him.
And this is Blizzard. A really nice couple will be adopting him and then his name will be Stanley.
This weekend mom donated blood! Here I am with Nick who stuck the needle in mom’s arm! Luckily he knew what he was doing. Also he was really nice and handsome. And this is Mike who took the needle out of mom’s arm afterwards. That part seems a little bit easier. Mike is from Australia OMG!! That would be a great place to visit someday mom hint hint. Mike was also super nice and very handsome. When we got home mom took the bandage off her arm too soon! And blood started running down her arm HA HA that was funny! She put the bandage back on and cleaned up the kitchen floor. I guess she learned a little lesson that time!Best of all we went to the car wash! Tigers love the car wash! Most of the cars in line were not even dirty but we like to wait until the car really needs to be washed. We got some really good photos in the car wash – here is another of my favorites.
Mom had her teeth cleaned and here I am with Marina who is sooooo beautiful and also really nice and does a great job taking care of mom’s teeth. Marina is from Ukraine! She saw my bandana and we talked about Ukraine and the war – she has family still there! That is concerning. Also her car broke down on the way to work! Hey Marina’s husband, if you are reading this, you should buy her a new car!We went to the SCRAPS shelter to get a foster kitten vaccinated. Here I am with Kaylee, the gorgeous Rock Star Foster Coordinator! She has helped thousands of animals and hundreds of foster families with their foster animals, it is really amazing, and a wonderful legacy, Because she is leaving the job in a few days! Oh no! We will miss her she has taught us a lot. This is Vincent the kitten who needed a vaccine booster. He started out very hissy but now loves laptime petting. We are still working on getting him socialized so he likes people. We went for a walk in the neighborhood and saw this great TIGER sign! Go TIGERS!Also look at the cool designs in the water in this little pond. On these hot days sitting by the water is so refreshing.
While Auntie Darcy and Cousin Nicolyn were here we went to Manito Park !!!Isn’t it amazing !?! Here we are at the Japanese Garden in Manito Park. There is also a rose garden, perennial garden, lilac garden, a pond, a lilac garden, and much more!I had to show Darcy and Nicolyn the famous Spokane Garbage Goat and they loved it!!Then the day came when they had to leave to continue their Road Trip.Road Trip! Tigers LOVE Road Trips! I hopped in the car but mom said I had to stay home with her. Goodbye Nicolyn I will miss you!

After that we went to Green Bluff to pick strawberries! They taste so much better than what you can buy in the store the flavor is amazing. We also wanted to pick cherries but they were not ready yet. Tigers LOVE cherries but only if they are ripe. It was an AWESOME day!
Mom got a haircut from our fabulous stylist Paula who is so beautiful! and who is going to have her own salon so next time we will see her there!!We went to an Art Show at Manito Park. Here I am with Amber one of the fabulous artists. She is a silversmith and had beautiful jewelry that she designed and made. Amber was super nice and gorgeous!!
