March For Our Lives

This weekend we went to the Spokane March for our Lives!

We saw a group of Buddhist Nuns who were there to show support.

Here are some of the people with signs that were there.

The weather was terrible, freezing and very windy and snow mixed with rain but still thousands of people came out to march for the kids.  Mom says that it is more important to bear witness than to worry about the weather.

Lunch Meeting!

Last week we went out to lunch with Chad and David!  Chad is mom’s boss and David is the newest member of the IT department.  I LOVE restaurants!  They are both super smart and super handsome!  They are both mechanical engineers!

This weekend we took lots of long walks in the woods near our house. It was necessary because mom was working doing taxes.  I try to  help but know from experience that it is best to Play Quietly while mom fills out the forms.

While helping Mom looks things up on the internet I noticed that she FORGOT to post a link to my video of 2016 highlights!  Here it is:

More Snowboarding at 49 Degrees!

We went back to 49 Degrees North!  We also spent another day at Mt. Spokane and got very soggy. It was snowing at the top of the mountain but raining at the bottom so we did not get any pictures.  At 49 on Friday I asked mom to PLEASE please PLEASE get a picture of me riding the chairlift. No one believes that they let Tigers on the chairlift. Mom said ok she would take a picture but NO jumping around, NO swinging the chairlift, DON”T drop anything and STAY in the satchel.

Here we are looking down off the mountain it was a beautiful sunny day!

This is me with Lloyd the super handsome and super nice lift operator.  He took good care of us and kept the lift area ship-shape.

Here I am riding with Auntie Darcy.  Yayyyyyy!

and here I am riding with Mom!!!!!

Afterwards we had hot cocoa from the snack bar and I got to see Emily again!

Hiking with Auntie Darcy!

Mid-week we took a break from snowboarding and went hiking instead. We brought Dixie with us yayyy!  it was very muddy in places Mom said you can walk and have a bath later or ride in the backpacks. We rode in the backpacks.

Here we are looking out of a bird blind! We saw a duck and red-wing blackbirds. And a chipmunk. Auntie Darcy was hoping to see a porcupine but the only one we saw was in the visitor center and it was stuffed.

It was a great day for a hike we had a super duper time.

Snowboarding at 49 North!

We went snowboarding at 49 Degrees North in Chewelah! On the way there we stopped at Ace Hardware in Deer Park to get coupons for discount lift tickets.  Here I am with Jeni who works at the hardware store and knows all about everything in the store she is totally gorgeous oooh la la! and super nice!

This is me with Justin our FAVORITE lift operator! He was really nice no matter how klutzy we were.  Also he is a really good snowboarder and is super handsome.

We met Patricia and her grandson Brandon. Patricia is an expert skier and Brandon is also a skier but has come to the dark side and is learning to snowboard!  Yay!  Patricia is really beautiful and Brandon is so handsome but not quite as handsome as me.

This is Emily the dazzling cashier at the snack bar where we got hot cocoa. She was super helpful and friendly and I hope she is there next time we get snacks!  va va voom!

Here I am with Auntie Darcy looking down the slope.

This looks like I am doing a backflip but actually Auntie Darcy let go of me and I fell!  Ha ha that was funny!  The snow was nice and soft and I am a Tiger I did not get hurt. We  had a super awesome two days snowboarding at 49 Degrees!  Thanks to everyone who made our visit so much fun.

!!! Auntie Darcy is Visiting us !!!!

OMG !  We went to the airport and picked up Auntie DARCY !!!  We are going to have an awesome time she brought her SNOWBOARD!  Yayyyyy!

Here we are the next day out on the slopes! I am tucked into Auntie Darcy’s orange jacket can you see me?  I am camuflazd  I blend in I am a Tiger!

Action shot with Auntie Darcy!   yayyyyy!!!!!  She is holding me in her right hand.

Here I am with mom we are high up on the mountain about to ride down.

Also we met Linda and her daughter Morgan at an art festival this week. They are both so gorgeous and are super nice. Linda makes amazing pottery with animals on it.

Also we heard from Patty who we met in Glacier National Park years ago. She sent this really cool picture of mom with me and Patty’s Bear named Teddy!!

More Snow!

We got more fresh snow yayyyyy! Tigers LOVE the snow!

Mom shoveled a lot of snow this weekend. I like to help but the shovels are too big for me. Then mom got me my own shovel  !!!  Yayyy!  Here I am clearing the walkway to the backyard.  This is going to take a while.  Maybe I will have a snack and a nap first.

Mom had her teeth cleaned this week here I am with Diana the gorgeous and super nice lady who does the cleaning. Wow I should get my teeth cleaned too!

And here I am with Naomi who also works at the dentists office and is totally gorgeous.

Last week the weather was really cold. One day when we got to work I said we should get a picture of the car thermometer. It is 9 degrees!  And on the way in it was 2 degrees and it is colder at our house because we are on a hill I bet it was 0 degrees at our house when we left for work that morning!  Luckily I am a Tiger I have a fur coat.

Soap Class!

We took another soap class!  This class was for people with some soap-making experience who wanted to learn about making soap with colors!

Look at some of the amazing colorful soap the students made!

Here I am with Sandy who teaches the class and is the owner of Greencastle Soap.  She is super gorgeous and super nice and makes learning fun.

Here is one of the dogs that works at the soap shop.  He wanted to play by biting my ear ha ha!  That was funny!  Luckily someone distracted him into playing fetch.

Here is mom’s soap after she cut it into bars.  We can’t use it yet it has to cure for a few weeks.  I can hardly wait!  Tigers don’t much like baths but this is a pretty blue color. In case you are wondering it is supposed to be swirly it is called marbling.

Sunny Mt. Spokane!!

We went SNOWBOARDING at Mt. Spokane yayyyyyyyy!  Just two weeks ago all the trees were covered with snow and it was cold and windy.

It was so beautiful and sunny it was awesome! You can see Lake Coeur d’Alene!

Riding with mom is the BEST and she did not even fall down very much for a change.

Also this weekend we walked to the neighborhood pond where it is partly water but partly ice and there were DUCKS swimming!  How do they not freeze?

Home Projects

We had a bunch of projects to do at home this weekend. For example mom did surgery on Jasper’s favorite mouse. Now he won’t play with it probably because it does not look like a mouse anymore. Mom says she did not have a lot to work with.

We got Dino all ready for Valentine’s Day!  People in the neighborhood think it is funny how he moves around the yard and peeks out from behind trees and rocks.

We went for walks in the woods near our house.  The snow is all gone!

We found  a new playground with fun things to do!

Mom put a collar on Jasper!  With a bell on it!  He is always underfoot and today when mom tripped over him for the hundredth time she said that now she will hear him when he comes to trip her.  He does not stand still very well it was hard to get a picture.  It is a pink collar HA HA HA HA! But he doesn’t know or care.  At first he thought the jingly collar bell was coming from a toy and he kept looking around for it which made the bell ring even more HA HA HA it was hilarious!  By now he is used to it.
