Clifford The Big Red Dog!

One day last week we went to see the doctor for an annual checkup. Dr. Brosius is the BEST!  She is super nice and totally gorgeous and is a really great doctor.

When we went to the library this weekend they had story time with Clifford the Bid Red Dog OMG!!!! We did not even know it is so lucky we were there at the right time!

I got to meet CLIFFORD OMG!!  after story time they had photos!!!

Also they had cool Clifford party hats you could take home and make. I tried to help mom put it together.  When I told mom it does not fit very good she said if I don’t like it I could tape it together myself but then I decided it looks pretty good after all.

Also here is a picture of Marzipan our gray fluffy foster kitten who had a bad eye infection doesn’t she look great now!? Last week she was very sick and we had to give her lots of medicine and shots and sub-q fluids but she is doing super-duper! and eating  and playing lots. It was scary for a couple of days but now she is thriving.

A Foster KITTEN!! OMG!!!

OMG we have been super busy and first I want to show a picture we took on a hike with a SCRAPS animal shelter dog named Mrs Dog. She walked great on a leash and hiked real good and would be a great dog for a family as long as they do not have cats or other small animals because she likes to chase them. Mrs Dog is wearing a bandana!

Then OMG! We have a foster kitty who is 3 or 4 weeks old she is all by herself no mom or siblings. She had a bad eye infection that is lots better now we have been giving her eye drops. Mostly now it is just old crusty stuff on her face that is hard to remove and we don’t want to hurt her delicate face. She is doing so great!  Eating lots and we have to feed her with a syringe and she has to eat frequently so we get up in the middle of the night to feed her and come home at lunchtime too. I think she looks like Chewbaca!! I told mom we should name her that but she said NO. Mom named the kitten Marzipan. There is nothing cuter in world than a month-old kitten!  Except maybe a Tiger cub.

Another Dog Walk!! And a Listening Seminar

We spent three days in a class learning how to be a better listener.  Here I am with Madison who was also in the class and is super gorgeous va va voom!  and super nice. Madison and mom are partners for the next 9 months to practice what they learned.

This is David and Marsha who taught the class and did an amazing job. They are both really really nice and very funny! David is handsome but not quite as handsome as me and Marsha is super beautiful. Most importantly we had good snacks during the class.

OMG the whole class went bowling one night it was AWESOME!

This weekend we got to take another dog for a long walk as part of the Dog Meets World program at the SCRAPS animal shelter!  This is Memphis we took him for a walk\hike all over the Dishman Hills area for two and a half hours and he could have kept going and going! He was so happy!  He is a great dog I hope someone who is really active adopts him so he can go on lots of fun adventures.

A Protest, A Dog Walk, and Lots More!

First I want to give a shout out to Dane who drove the courtesy shuttle when we dropped off the car to be serviced. Dane was super nice and super handsome and he really likes Tigers! He would like to be a scientist who studies fossils. TIGER fossils!

This weekend we went to an event where the WSU Raptor Club was showing wild raptors it was great! We saw a barn owl and a horned owl and kestrels and a GOLDEN EAGLE!!  OMG!!!  Here I am with the EAGLE OMG!!!!  The WSU veterinary hospital works with the Raptor Club to rehabilitate the birds and return them to the wild if possible but some have to stay in captivity like the eagle because he is blind.

Also!!! Mom joined a SCRAPS program called Dog Meets World where volunteers get to take a shelter dog on an adventure OMG!!!  We took this awesome dog Marco for a long walk at Manito Park!!!!  Here he is at the rose garden. He is a short-haired Chihiwo  Chwew  Chiwow-wa and is about 14 years old. But he loves to walk and we were there for about two hours and he loves people too I hope someone adopts him.

The dogs in the program wear fit bits! So they can keep track of how they do on their adventures. Here is a really great photo that mom took of me and Marco.

Also this weekend when we went to the library there were police and security everywhere. It turns out that for Story Time a couple of drag queens were going to read the books and a group was going to protest because I guess they don’t like drag queens. Well! Then there was going to be a counter-protest to the protest! So of course we had to go to support the LGBT community. The counter-protest had bubbles and face-painting and a fun band and hundreds of people lined up for Story Time.

OMG I got to meet some drag queens!  They are soooo beautiful!  Mom had to explain to me what it means to be a drag queen and that it is performance art. So many people wanted to listen to Story Time that the room was full and we did not get to listen but it was more important for little kids to attend so I did not mind.

I don’t understand why some people were protesting Story Time. I think it has something to do with gay rights.  I don’t understand. People should be able to love whoever they want. I love Lars Larson even though we are both boy Tigers and I love Taj and Dixie too and Dixie is not even a Tiger! After we talked about it I told mom I wanted a rainbow bandana so we went to the store and picked out some material.

Wild Birds and a new Foster Cat!

We went to the Wild Birds Unlimited store that just opened!  Here I am with Genevieve!  Who is super beautiful and really nice and knows all about birds and what to feed them!

They had dried meal worms!!!  I told mom please please can we buy some and she did!!!!  They also had LIVE ones but mom said NO we are not getting those. Here are the meal worms in a new feeder when you pour them out of the bag they move around and look like they are alive and wiggling around it is awesomely gross!

We have another foster cat now we named him Wesley. He is from a hoarding case that has been in the news. He is super shy and likes to be in hiding places like a carrier. He is doing good and being brave and now we can sit in the room with him while he eats. SCRAPS could sure use some more foster parents so if you can please help out! They can supply everything you need, you just provide the space and the love.

A New Vacoom!!!

We bought a new vacoom!!!  Mom says it is spelled vacuum but that does not look right. Here I am with Chris who first loaned us a vacoom to try out and also carried all the vacooms and loaded them in and out of the car because not only did we test one but we bought a new one and traded in our old one!  I did not know you could trade in an old vacoom mom says it is a good thing or else we would have had to figure out what to do with it. Chris was super helpful and super handsome. We recommend J&J’s Vacoom!

Then we went to the NW Museum of Arts and Culture art festival it was fun!  We walked around looking at stuff and heard some great music!

There were all kinds of activities for kids and I made a button!  Mom helped a little with the drawing it is me and Lars Larson!  The nice man who runs the machine that makes the button told us about the sequins we could add so I picked out lots!

Here is the finished button and me and Lars my best friend!

Memorial Day Weekend

We made a donation to the American Legion and the nice man collecting donations gave us a paper poppy it is a tradition!  He did not want to have his picture taken with me I am a Tiger sometimes people are scared mom says she doesn’t think he was scared but not everyone wants their picture taken. It is a red poppy my favorite color!

Me and Lars Larson and mom went for a hike at the Turnbull Wildlife Refuge one of my favorite places it was sunny and we saw lots of wildflowers!

Mom let me use the camera!!!  He is a photo of some wild iris and my paw got in the picture too. haha! The little buttons on the camera are very fidgety.

Foster Cats! and a Pet Pig!! OMG!

We took our foster cat Leo to an adoption event at PetSmart and while we were there someone brought their pet PIG shopping!!!  OMG it was super cute and sweet I told mom we should totally get a pig like this to live with us but she said NO.

Here I am with Paige who is so beautiful and super nice she is in charge of the SCRAPS foster cats at the PetSmart it is a lot of work and she does a great job!!

Then later we got a call from the foster department asking if we could help and take on another foster cat I told mom say YES because if we can’t have a pet pig then a pregnant cat is EXACTLY what we need to make our lives more interesting. Here she is isn’t she gorgeous?? !  She does not have a name yet she is living in one of our bathrooms. Soon she will have kittens oh BOY oh BOY I can hardly wait!

This weekend we went for a walk in a new park we had not been to. Here we are on a bridge crossing the Spokane River! It was so windy mom made us ride in the backpack.

We hiked all over and here we are down by the river right after some kayakers went by mom was too slow with the camera as usual.  It was a super day!

Happy Mom Day!

I hope all the MOM’s out there have a Happy Day!  In our front yard we have been akwiring   ackweiring getting more dinosaurs we do not know where they are coming from!  There are new dinosaurs who also brought baby dinos in baby carriages! There was a big celebratioin for Mother’s Day and Cameron and Carson who live down the street made special signs (with help from their awesome Dad).

Our super neighbor Joni had some flowers delivered from her daughter but Joni wasn’t home so she texted mom to ask if we could look after them until tomorrow. No problem!

This weekend we went to plant nurseries and bought some plants for our garden. Here I am with Kathy at Northland Rosarium she was super nice and super beautiful.  It is a wonderful nursery with tons of roses and other plants and display gardens too.

Ping Pong on the Patio!

Oh boy!  At work there is a ping pong table that is almost never used and we had it moved to the patio outside the IT office and now we play ping pong at lunch every day!!  Here I am with David and Chris.  They are both so handsome and smart and fun and are really good ping pong players!  Mom has lost every game so far.

This weekend there was a class at the museum on how to make a cedar basket!

Here I am with Paul  who taught the class and is super handsome and charming and fun. And very patient. Paul is wearing one of his famous woven cedar hats!

Here is mom’s finished basket! It is called a berry basket it is a contemporary design using traditional American Indian basket-making methods.

Also this weekend we went for a long walk on the Centennial Trail with Lars Larson and some friends!  The ladies were beautiful and the men were so handsome!  It was a super day and we had a great weekend.
