Sheltering In Place

Mom has been sick so we have not been allowed to go to work. Do not worry, she does not have a fever and is not short of breath it is a bad cold and she is finally getting better.  It is best to Play Quietly when mom does not feel good! We have been working from home and we miss our friends at work!

Today mom felt good enough to go for a walk! The weather is wonderful and sunny and there are lots of walking paths in our neighborhood. Someone wrote helpful and inspirational chalk messages for people who are outside enjoying the Spring sunshine.

A Big Snowstorm!

The first day of Spring is next week but we had a snowstorm come through this weekend. The snow blew into big drifts in some areas and when we filled the bird feeders it was pretty deep snow. Here is the snow coming right up to the front door!

Lots of people are worried about the corona virus and we heard some stores were crazy with people stocking up on things like water and TP. But when we went shopping it looked like there was plenty of stuff to buy except for Top Ramen!  ha ha!

On Friday we just happened to stop at the library and found it was closing that evening for a month as a precaution due to the corona virus. Thank goodness we were there so we had a chance to borrow a big stack of books to get us through the next 4 weeks!  All due dates have been extended and they are even closing the book drops!  I hope everyone out there stays healthy take care of yourselves and your animals!

Museum Visit!

We have not posted for a couple of weeks because we were very busy at work. It was a big software upgrade the IT department had been planning it for about 6 months. I do not know why mom picked a photo of a dog for this sign instead of a TIGER.

Chad brought in yummy snacks! That is the most important part of working long hours and all weekend is to have lots of snacks to keep everyone energized and motivated.

Then this weekend we caught up on household chores and after that we went to the museum which had an exhibit about Pompeii! It was a really good exhibit here I am in front of a video display of a building based on archaeological findings.

Here is a mural of Romans using TIGERS to pull a cart I do not think this is realistic at all  HA HA!!   It is just some rich person’s wishful thinking.  Dream on!

Here is the best thing! There was also an exhibit about Mt Saint Helens erupting and I got my picture taken with a green screen!  I look really bright because I don’t think mom was supposed to hold me quite so close to the camera but isn’t it awesome!

a MOOSE!

OMG !! There was a MOOSE in our backyard!!!

Here she is standing up! She sure has long legs! OMG it was so cool!

Joni next door sent us some pictures. Joni used to be a professional photographer so her pictures turned out much better than the ones mom took.

This weekend we went hiking at Turnbull Wildlife Refuge! We heard from some hikers that there was a moose by the lake but we did not see one. That’s okay, we had our own special moose visit us and she even left us a present in the yard.

Surprise Party!!

Oh Boy Oh Boy!  We went to a Surprise Party this weekend!  It was for David’s birthday which is not actually for weeks which definitely made it a surprise!

Look at the awesome cake that his family made!! It’s a ping pong table!

There were lots of people at the party, lots of family and friends David’s Mom and Sister came all the way from San Diego for the party!  It was great to meet them. On the left are Mack from work and his fiancee\partner Nicole.

Look at all the yummy snacks!  I wanted to try them all but mom said NO.

Also! We heard from the people who adopted Aria they sent photos!  She has gotten so big! and now she has a kitten baby brother to play with!  It’s awesome!

Important Lunches!

Last week at work we had important visitors; Tim is the IT Global Infrastructure Director and he is based in England! Trent is a Network Admin from Wisconsin. They both travel a lot to visit various plants all over the world! Even though they are important big cheeses they were super nice and friendly and helpful. We had yummy lunches both days they were here but mom FORGOT to get any pictures except me with a cookie.

Then on Friday there was a potluck lunch for Laurie who is retiring! She is awesome and we will miss her a lot but we wish her the best and a happy retirement!

Snowboarding Trip YAYYYY!

We went snowboarding this weekend YAYYYY!   The temperature was right around freezing so the snow was melting on the chair lift and we got a little bit soggy. Mom says that on the bright side her snowboard pants still fit ha ha! but they aren’t as waterproof anymore. I am a TIGER I don’t mind getting wet. Here I am riding in the satchel.

Look at these trees!  It was a winter wonderland!

Also this weekend we got the oil changed in the car and while we waited we walked around and went in the original Davenport Hotel. It is super fancy!

Guess What – more SNOW!

It has been a quiet week with few adventures. It snowed almost every day so our routine is to get up early, shovel snow, go to work, shovel snow. Repeat the next day. There are lots of animal tracks in the snow!  These look like TIGER tracks to me!

At work we play ping pong most days on our lunch break even though sometimes it is freezing out. Here it is David and Jaime on one team it was too dark to get a picture of Mack and Thuan on the other team. Almost everyone who plays is an Engineer (except mom) so they have devised things like a ball return for when the ball ends up under the table it will roll out. Also they spend lots of time figuring out how to make the ball spin in funny ways and if you ask how they say things like ” when the ratio of the ball acceleration and direction is slowed by the friction hitting the table and the hypotenuse of the  inverse something-or-other….” that is when I usually zone out.

OMG ! One day Jaime brought his dog Sweet Pea to work!  Sweet Pea had to go to the vet later so she was here just for a little while. She is a great dog and can do tricks like roll over and play dead and she loves oranges! In this photo Jaime is showing how she can balance an orange on her nose. Jaime is super nice and handsome and charming.

Car Repaired! And TWO Snowstorms!

Our car is all fixed!  Yay! While it was in the shop we got to rent this great Toyota RAV4!  It was nice and new and had lots of power and lots of room inside and is taller than our car so you can see more. I told mom we should totally buy one but she said NO.

This is me with Jocelyn who works at the Enterprise car rental store and gave us a ride to pick up our car she was super nice and really beautiful I would like to work at the car rental store and drive cars all over the place. mom said good luck with that.

We had two big snowstorms dump lots and lots of snow! We have been shoveling a lot!

Here I am with our awesome neighbor Jen! She is really nice and really gorgeous and an athlete. She is always out running or biking or skiing or on some other adventure.

Stevens Creek Hike!

OMG we had lots more snow one day! Luckily it was a holiday so we could spend a lot of time shoveling the driveway and sidewalks. It was a magical winter wonderland!

He is a picture from our deck with Lars, Dixie, me, and Taj!

We went on a hike called Stevens Creek!  it had warmed up that day and the snow was slushy and slippery but I am a TIGER I have four paw drive.

On the hike we ran into our friends Sean and Emory! Sean and mom used to work together and Emory is his beautiful wife. Sean is very handsome but not quite as handsome as me. They had their dogs with them but mom FORGOT to get their names.
