Khan is Found !!!!

Khan and his people live a mile or two away from us and he snuck out of the house and got lost !! He was sighted several times in our neighborhood so me and mom spent a lot of time walking and hiking through the woods in the area looking for him. Khan was finally found about 5 miles away after 25 days!!!! The whole community rejoiced ! And he is in amazingly good shape. The vet gave him some fluids and shaved the vegetation out of his beautiful coat. We are so happy for him and his family!!

At work there was a party for Warren who is leaving and we will miss him. Rowan made all kinds of delicious snacks and packaged them so beautifully! Mom FORGOT me at home! But I was able to photoshop myself into the picture.

OMG we have the most adorable foster kittens now! Domino and Rubik went to the adoption floor at the shelter and got adopted right away. We brought home these two cuties.

Wild Animals!

Look what was in our backyard last week !!!! A Wild Animal !!!!
We posted a couple of the photos on Nextdoor.com and a lot of people looked at it and left comments.
One of our neighbors (their kids) were doing a fundraiser for the World Wildlife Fund and selling cookies and muffins!! Yum !!! But mom is not eating that kind of food anymore (drat!). They were also selling super awesome clay animals and we bought the TIGER! They talked us into getting the elephant too they told us they were a pair and they live together in Sumatra! I knew that.
We went for a walk in the woods near our house. Not the most exciting hike we’ve ever done but it was good to get outside and stretch our legs and paws!

Ice Cream Party !!!

Oh Boy! Heather and Mitch had another neighborhood Ice Cream Party last week! It was so fun and they are such wonderful friends! They understand that Tigers like Ice Cream.
This weekend mom donated blood. Here I am with Gregg who took care of mom and is super handsome. Giving blood is very important; if you can please donate to help your community.
After that we went to Green Bluff to pick peaches! But all the farms we stopped at did not have any left to pick. Instead we bought some peaches from Yakima. We also stopped at a couple farms that also have gift shops. I LOVE gift shops!!!! The only thing mom bought was jam. She misses the whole point of gift shops which is to buy stuff you don’t need.
The highlight of the trip to Green Bluff was this orchard where they are digging some post holes and their big dog was helping to dig holes !!!! By the time mom got the camera out he had flopped down for a nap.
The foster kittens come and go. Chanel the seal-point Siamese was adopted and the family sends us photos and updates. She has a collar with her name sewn onto it! and a special basket to sleep in ! Now we have two Tuxedo kittens who are super cute.
You can tell them apart because this one has a blaze on her nose and smaller socks.

Forgetful Mom

We have not posted much lately because Mom keeps FORGETTING to take photos (of me). We have met people interested in adopting kittens, and the man who came to measure the floors in the house, and lots of other people. One day after work mom even LEFT me in the car and I spent the WHOLE NIGHT in the garage!!!! I will try to catch up on all the news now.

At work mom has to attend 4-hour long meetings that start at 5am! I am a Tiger I do not mind getting up super early but mom is rather grouchy about it. She is on a team with about 130 other people who are evaluating software and the team is from all over the world so some people are attending the meetings at midnight! This is the death by PowerPoint part of the meeting.
Also at work they finally re-painted the stripes in the parking lot so you can know where to park again. Along one side they painted straight lines instead of angles but everyone still parks at an angle ha ha!
One day when we drove home we saw some mooses at the pond at the bottom of the hill!! There was a mommy moose and two offspring; one is not in the photo. We love having wildlife in the neighborhood!!
At the dog watering station in our yard that we put out every summer someone left us a thank you note by painting a rock! We have such great neighbors! Wild Tigers can drink from the water bowls too.
Here is one of the foster kitties we have right now. Her name is Chanel and her brothers are Dior and Armani. Chanel has an adopter! A really nice family with another kitten is going to adopt her.
Here are Domino and Rubik. We picked up Rubik first and later the shelter called us because another kitten was found in the same area and they are probably siblings. Mom says these kitties may or may not be related but they are both about a million times happier now that they are together.
For the last photo in this post here are some super cute cookies at the bakery mom saw when she was shopping today. Do they remind you of anyone? Yours Truly is not in the photo because of course mom FORGOT me at home today when she did errands.

Green Bluff Visit!

This weekend we went to Green Bluff to pick cherries! Here I am am high in a cherry tree!
OMG the farm we went to had a petting zoo and they had a little pig!!!! It is so cute!!!! It had been laying in the mud to keep cool! The sign said Pigs Can Bite so I did not try to pet it.
They also had these Shetland Sheep that made loud classic Baa Baa sounds! I told mom we should totally get some farm animals like these sheep and some pigs too! She said NO.
We also got sunflowers! For $10 you get a glass vase and some clippers to borrow and you can clip as many sunflowers as you can fit into the vase! There were all different kinds it was aweome!
Here is a photo from the hike we did last weekend. We went back to Kamiak Butte and this time it did not kick mom’s butte (ha ha ha!) and we made it to the top no problem!. Last time she had just donated blood and did not make it to the top. It is a pretty trail!
To get to Kamiak we drove through the Palouse which is a beautiful area of rolling hills where wheat is grown. Washington is famous for apples but Whitman County and the Palouse is the U.S. top wheat producing county! Wheat grown in this area produces up to 100 bushels an acre which is twice the national average! Isn’t the wheat beautiful?
While driving through the Palouse there is wheat as far as the eye can see! In the background of this photo there is a windbreak of trees and inside is the farmhouse where the farmer lives.

Heat Wave and Wildfires!

We have been so busy and I wanted to catch up on all our news about the heat wave with triple-digit temperatures day after day and when it is only 95 degrees everyone says how cool it feels! And it is very dry this summer with lots of wildfires and smoke! And we went hiking! But mom is having trouble downloading photos from her camera – oh no!!! All the great photos we took of me may be lost !!! Also I wanted to do a foster kitten update of who is coming and going but I guess this one picture of the cutest kitten EVER will have to do. She is super soft too! We picked her and her siblings up today. I hope everyone who reads this blog has better luck with their camera than mom!

Ice Cream Party!

OMG the best thing happened! Our neighbors invited us over to their house for an ice cream party!
Here I am with Heather and Mitch who had the party and provided the ICE CREAM !!! Heather is so beautiful and Mitch is very handsome. They are wonderful people and awesome neighbors!
This week our air conditioning broke and that was not fun ! The house got very hot in the evenings. This is me with John who is a senior technician and the service manager at Smith Heating. He got the AC fixed YAYYYYYYY !!!! John is super handsome and he was so nice and helpful and it is such a relief to have the AC working; it is going to be over 100 degrees here for a week straight!
We have been very busy fostering kittens. We have a set of 3 black ones, two of which are not friendly. We are calling them the SourPuss Family! Here is Jade who has her tummy shaved because she was spayed. She is finally getting a little friendly and lets mom pet her.
Here is the other set of kittens! At first we just had the boy tabby (in the front) and he was so sad and scared and lonely. He had an eye infection. Then after a few days the shelter called us up and said his sister was at the shelter!! She was found in the same area, had the same kind of eye infection, and looks like his twin! So we went and picked her up and the boy tabby was SOOOO happy! Now he has his sister and best friend and has company 24/7 and they play together and are not lonely. The girl tabby is still getting meds for her eye, you can see her left eye is not 100% yet. She is still a little shy.

Memorial Day Weekend

We started off the long weekend by donating blood. Here I am with Linda who is super beautiful and was super nice and also very funny.
We went for a hike at Kamiak Butte Park! After donating blood mom was supposed to take it easy and not do anything strenuous but we both wanted to go hiking!! We did not make it to the summit though, mom was really huffing and puffing and said the pack felt like it had 100 pounds of bricks in it.
Then we went to the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown! It used to be a barn with animals in it and now it is an art gallery! There is a totally cool fence made of old wheels and mom said let’s pick out our favorite wheel! It was hard to decide and then fence goes all the way around the property and it was taking me a long time and then mom said this one like a sun is nice. Here is the photo.

OMG the funniest thing happened! When we went to Kamiak to hike we parked next to Hartmut and Emily, and then when we were at the Dahmen Barn they pulled up and parked next to us !!! Emily is super gorgeous and Hartmut is very handsome but not quite as handsome as me. We discussed where to go next to meet up again but we were going back to Spokane and they were going to Pullman.

a New Foster Kitten !!! Yayyy!

OMG we picked up a new foster kitten and she is so ridiculously cute! She is a single orphan and was very scared and hissy and needs to learn that people are Okay.

After just a few days she is coming out of her hiding place all by herself and loves to have mom play with her! She is eating good and gaining weight. A creamsicle kitten!

Here I am with Katrina who works at a lab and took blood from mom to do some tests. Katrina is soooo beautiful and is super nice and even with a mask on you can tell she has a great smile!
You may have read in the news about a Tiger that was loose in Texas that belonged to someone and lived in a house. That is totally Not Cool. Tigers are wild animals and do not belong in a house or apartment! That’s crazy!

OMG !!!!! The WeinerMobile!!!

OMG we saw in the local news that the WEINERMOBILE would be in Spokane and I told mom we HAVE to go see it PLEASE PLEASE!! I will be good all weekend and won’t ask for anything else ever again!
Here it is from the other side with the door open and you can look around inside it!
Here it is from the front and notice the license plate and also the little boy to my left had a small toy WeinerMobile!!!! His Dad said they got it at Target. Hint hint mom.
OMG this is me with Nina!!! She is so beautiful and so nice! Her job is to drive all over the country in the WEINERMOBILE and meet people!! I told mom she should get a job like that and she said I would get bored riding around in it but that is not true. It is huge and has all kinds of cool seating and cabinets and fun things for Tigers to do. Better yet I could ride in the WeinerMobile with Nina.
Look what Nina gave me!!! What a great business card! It was a super day!
