A Bike Ride with HORSES!!!!!!!!!

We went on a long bike ride today to look for horses to take photos of. Most of them were too far away to get good pictures with me in them. This one posed nicely for us.
Here we are at the James Slavin Conservation Area. They have fixed up the parking lot so now there is lots of parking for horse trailers! Mom did a good job framing the photo to get the porta potty in the picture.
We also saw llamas and goats and cows.
OMG!!!! Then the most amazing thing happened! We met Gabriella riding Cricket and Chris riding Duchess and Chris asked if I would like to ride with her!!!!!! OMG!!! Chris and Gabriella were super nice and are so beautiful and their horses were so nice and gentle! Best Day Ever!

Home Made Bread !!!

We made whole wheat bread from scratch !! It could have been a review of what not to do when baking bread! Like make sure you have all the ingredients before you start ( we did not have molasses so used honey instead) and make sure you have fresh yeast (ours was past the expiration date) and make sure you have all your equipment (mom could not find the loaf pan), But it still turned out okay! It would have been better if it had Tiger stripes on it though.
The local art museum has an exhibition of three generations of Wyeth art – it was amazing! mom has a book of Andrew Wyeth paintings but seeing some in person is entirely different and really wonderful.
We went for a bike ride to look at horses!!! We did see some but they were far off in fields and not good photo opportunities. So here is a picture of a country road with farms and ranches but no horsies.
There is a fancy rug store that we had never been to but we got a ad from them in the mail saying that rugs were half price. So we were able to afford one of the smallest rugs they had. It is really high quality and Heathcliff loves it! mom keeps telling the cats not to barf on it.

A Turnbull Hike on a Sunny Day!

What a beautiful day! We had a long winter and a short spring because it already feels like summer! 85 degrees out; it was windy so that helped us not feel so hot.
Here I am with some of the wildflowers we saw.
OMG there was a big breakthrough with our foster cat Yasmine. After 5 weeks of hiding, hissing, and growling, she decided to come out and be petted! Now we know what she looks like! Isn’t she gorgeous? She is a dilute calico with blue eyes and she is a real sweet cat.
