This weekend we went to Green Bluff to pick cherries! Here I am am high in a cherry tree!OMG the farm we went to had a petting zoo and they had a little pig!!!! It is so cute!!!! It had been laying in the mud to keep cool! The sign said Pigs Can Bite so I did not try to pet it.They also had these Shetland Sheep that made loud classic Baa Baa sounds! I told mom we should totally get some farm animals like these sheep and some pigs too! She said NO.We also got sunflowers! For $10 you get a glass vase and some clippers to borrow and you can clip as many sunflowers as you can fit into the vase! There were all different kinds it was aweome! Here is a photo from the hike we did last weekend. We went back to Kamiak Butte and this time it did not kick mom’s butte (ha ha ha!) and we made it to the top no problem!. Last time she had just donated blood and did not make it to the top. It is a pretty trail! To get to Kamiak we drove through the Palouse which is a beautiful area of rolling hills where wheat is grown. Washington is famous for apples but Whitman County and the Palouse is the U.S. top wheat producing county! Wheat grown in this area produces up to 100 bushels an acre which is twice the national average! Isn’t the wheat beautiful? While driving through the Palouse there is wheat as far as the eye can see! In the background of this photo there is a windbreak of trees and inside is the farmhouse where the farmer lives.
