Trip to Big Sur!

One day of our Monterey trip we drove along Highway 1 and stopped at a bunch of state parks! First we stopped by the breakfast room at the motel we were staying at for bananas and muffins. Here I am with Maria who takes care of guests in the breakfast room and is so nice and super beautiful. She and mom talked about books they like to read while I picked out snacks. Having lots of snacks is very important on a road trip.

Our first park was Andrew Molera state park and we walked along the Big Sur River.

We also stopped along the highway for scenic pictures of the rugged coast.

Next was Big Sur state park! It is hard to get a good photo to show how big the Redwood trees are. The Redwoods at Big Sur can reach 250 feet tall but the ones along California’s North coast can be 350 feet tall because they get more water.

We hiked the Valley View Trail and met Kimi and her Mom Shiv. They traveled all the way from Singapore!  They were both really nice and gorgeous.

After hiking we went to the Big Sur Lodge and I got a Big Sur pin!  Mom thought a pin with a tree on it would be good but I wanted the one shaped like a shark!  It is red my favorite color and you can also see my Monterey pin that has a sea otter! on it!  I got it at a Monterey gift shop I LOVE gift shops!

Then we went to Point Lobos state park and walked the trails along the coast.  We saw sea lions and more sea otters!  Through viewing scopes that some volunteers had.

When we got back to the car there was a seagull on it ha ha!  They did not seem very scared of me they probably had never seen a Tiger before.
