Travelling is fun but gosh it is good to be home!  I shared my New Orleans Mardi Gras beads with Dixie and Jimi.

Mom has been sick with a cold so we have been staying home and watching movies instead of having adventures.  Mom does not get sick very often which is good because she has sure been crabby.

We have a houseguest!  Dove is staying with us.  Dove is a cat who belongs to one of Mom’s friends.  We are cat-sitting yes we are we are good at taking care of kitty-cats!  Dove is very sweet and beautiful.

On the weekend Mom finally felt better so we went for a walk. They have been busy at the construction site.

Me and Dixie found a machine that is almost the right size for us!

The conference is over and it is time to go home.  We treated ourselves to a yummy breakfast buffet.  I wanted sausages and bacon and pancakes and biscuits and  French toast and an omelet but Mom picked fruit.

On the trip home we had something awesome happen called a layover!    This is when you fly somewhere in an airplane and then you get to get off and walk around a different airport!  It was so fun!   We were in TEXAS!!!   We bought more snacks and looked around.

I was hoping to get a cowboy hat and boots but mom said she was not going to carry One More Thing.

Here we are taking off again, this time leaving the Dallas airport.  The Dallas airport was truly amazing.  It was HUGE.  The pilot drove for about 10 miles past about 18 runways before he decided which one he wanted to use to take off.  We even drove over a freeway to get there!

Texas is very flat.

Here I am snuggling with Mom. The layover was lots of fun but it does make for a long trip.  I am wearing the special red Mardi Gras beads that Mom got for me red is my favorite color.

Look it is Mt. Rainier!  We are almost home!

We rode the St. Charles Avenue streetcar!!!!     It is the oldest continuously operating street railway system in the world!  It was great!!!

Here I am hanging out the window!  Look mom no paws!   ha ha ha!

This is the view from inside the streetcar. It is really fun to ride the streetcar. Everyone in New Orleans is really friendly.

We went to the Audubon Park it was fantastic! There were all kinds of birds just sitting there or standing around like in this tree.  But I was a good park guest and did not bother them.

OMG it is a swan!!

There was all kinds of fun stuff to do like walk over bridges and look at the water.  It all looks so different than it does at home.  We are in the South now, not the Northwest!

We rode the streetcar back and took lots of pictures. Can you see all the Mardi Gras beads hanging in the trees?  It must be a blast during the Mardi Gras parade!

One morning we got up early and walked to what is called the Garden District. It is very beautiful and the houses are so amazing.

It was hard to decide which house I liked best.

This is Dan he was out walking his dog through the neighborhood. He gets to live in this beautiful place. We saw lots of people out walking their dogs. But no tigers… I was the only one. We are kind of rare ya know.

Oh wow oh wowo we got to go to a private concert by Journey!  While waiting to get in we talked to these nice ladies who were in charge of everything.  They were super nice and gorgeous and if they need help with a rowdy crowd they can call me for help anytime.

I wanted to get closer to the stage it was a little tricky there were so many people. I was good and did not try to scare anyone.

New Orleans is sure a party town!  Some friends invited us to a party at the Aquarium!!!  It was fantastic!  I did not even care about the party the aquarium was incredible!

There are all kinds of fish and SHARKS in this tank!   OMG!

Look at this!  You can walk underneath this tunnel with fish all around you!

OMG it is a real live alligator!  There are lots of things here that bite!

This is April she is a diver with the Aquarium and a member of the Jolly Bobbers.  Ha ha ha!  I want to join that club I bet they have a lot of fun!  April is also a retired marine!  She was gorgeous and also knew all about the fish. In this display it is like the support of an oil rig so this is what it is like for the fish it is the part of the rig people don’t see.

And here are some friends Phil and Faunna. Oh wow Faunna is so nice and so beautifuuuul!  And Phil is very handsome, but not as handsome as me of course.

After that we went to another party. Look at this cool bar!  I wanted to order a bunch of drinks but Mom said No.

There was a great band and all kinds of shiny lights and Mardi Gras beads but it was hard to take pictures.  I had a really good time!

We had to spend a lot of time doing business stuff but we had some time to explore.  Here I am with a streetcar!

The French Quarter looks just like the guidebooks showed.

The French Quarter is so fun!  There are musicians everywhere.  I thought some of the best bands were the ones playing in the street.

This lady in the pink shirt and the man in blue were incredible dancers!  And it turned out they did not even know each other!

You can get breakfast almost any time of day here. We’re having French Toast!  Ha ha! You can have French Toast in the French Quarter!

Aaahhhh!  Alligator!!!!    Hahahahahaha!

Mom is here for a business conference yes indeed. So we sit in education sessions all day long. I was very good and did not disrupt.

I got to go to some fun conference events like a big party. Here I am with a few thousand of my closest friends.

Mom why don’t we ever have food like this at home?  This is what tigers like not broccoli.

Oh wow look at me!!!  I got to jam with this totally awesome band!!!  The drummer was the BEST!

There were lots of beautiful ladies at the party.  I am starting to collect Mardi Gras beads!

This is my kind of a party!  This is Pat he let me try some of his beer! After that I wanted more but mom said NO.

Here we are at the Keynote Address. I do not know what that is but there were lots of cool flashing lights all different colors it was great!

Here we are at the airport OMG we are really going to New Orleans!!!!!

Wow look at this sign they have at the airport about tigers. There are not many of us tigers left in the world.

This is what you do at the airport. You stand around or sit and wait to get on the plane it is so exciting!!!  Everyone wants to get on first!!!

We are on the plane!!  We have a window seat so I can see everything going on outside!!!  I am so excited and nervous at the same time.

WHeeeeeeee  we are in the air!!!!  Look at how beautiful it is!

Mom is starting to pack for a business trip!  Please can I come please please please please I will be good I promise this time please please??  Mom says she is not going to Indonesia. But I still want to go along please please??  I am a good tiger and a good travelling companion!

Mom says I can go oh boy oh boy oh boy I can hardly wait should I travel in the purple REI backpack or the black tote bag??? We are travelling light yes we are that’s how tigers travel no checked luggage for us I am not travelling in the cargo hold no way.

Here are all the things I want to bring it is not much it will take up no space at all!  OMG I will not sleep a wink all night mom told me we are going to NEW ORLEANS!!!   It will be my first time on a plane oh gosh I hope I don’t get airsick.
